We are people who want to go home. We believe that everyone must ask themselves 2 fundamental questions in order to have a life that has any purpose at all:
Any lifestyle or pursuit that doesn’t attempt to answer those two questions is pretty much a big fat waste of a life. We believe that in the Bible, and subsequently the church, we are promised a home that is better than anything we could ever ask or imagine. While it takes faith and hope to understand that home - we have found that the overall concept of the Bible makes a lot of sense. This is a good place to live, but God appears to promise us something better, something eternal. We want to go there. We are a people who believe the Bible. The Bible claims that it is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. After study, examination and maybe even a little prayer - we believe that claim. That isn’t arrived at lightly, as one will study the Bible a lifetime to grasp some of its teachings. It is a book that has stood the test of time, the rise and fall of other philosophies and the harshest criticism’s mankind can throw at it. We believe it is true in its entirety, so we pattern our lives, worship and behavior toward God by it. While some want to serve God by taking bits and pieces of the Bible, we want no other guide, practice or code other than the holy scriptures. If our God is big and powerful enough to create and sustain the universe and everything in it....then He’s probably got the means to see that his Words are accurately preserved! We are a people who stick together In our lives, we face times of seemingly unbearable heartaches and trials. We get sick. We see loved ones struggle in their lives. We want to be the people that don’t turn away. We want to be the people who are comfortable around the hurting, not the one’s who want all the pain to simply go away. We want to be part of the solution. When it comes to self-inflicted trials, we want to be people who are at both sides of a waterfall - some are at the top saying "don’t go over the edge", and some are at the bottom to see if we can put the pieces back together again. We are a congregation of people that have witnessed and experienced some of the most un-imaginable pains, heartaches and losses. By the strength and grace of God, we will aid our family members in times of grief and sorrow. We are a people unashamed of truth We believe in God. We believe the Bible is God’s Word. We believe it is the truth - displaying Jesus Christ as the Son of God as the ultimate expression of "the way, the truth and the light." We believe that the Bible displays perfectly the pattern of what a church ought to be. The Bible does so through examples of succeeding congregations, as well as failing/imperfect congregations. We believe that these truths of how the church is to operate do not have an expiration date. An all-seeing and ever-present God is probably intelligent enough to give us laws and commands that stand the test of time. We want as many people to join us as possible We want to see every single person in Kingfisher, Oklahoma obey the gospel. We want to see all of mankind be saved. We aren’t interested in being an exclusive club. While we don’t feel we have the right to alter the truth to fit any and every whim of the world, we do want to remove any man-made obstacle we can to reach out to those who want to know Christ. Sometimes we realize those obstacles are ourselves. We are sinners who fail, but we are a people seeking redemption by the only one who truly offers redemption. We want you here.
